I seem to be having the same issue trying to back up my contacts on this fancy phone. I came over from the I-Phone but it seemed easier to back up the contacts on it. I really like this phone but I would like to have my contacts in a safe place in case of lost or theft. Can anyone answer, how to back up the contacts to my computer?

For most Android users, Gmail used as their primary email so their contacts are typically stored into their Gmail accounts automatically. Some people, however, have their contacts stored locally on their phones. To remedy this, apps can be found in the Android Market that will move contacts from local storage to Gmail.

There are also apps in the Android Market that would allow you to backup your contacts to a file that can be saved onto your desktop.
