can you change the lock screen?
i noticed on my friends phone on the lock screen its like a curved line they follow to unlock it, vs mine is just a straight line.

the update in mid december changed this.. from 2.0 to 2.0.1 (or what ever the current one is).. i guess your buddies droid hasnt been updated yet?

You can get the old style lock bar back in a lot of the custom roms out there. Of course you need to have root in order to do this, so if that's not something you are comfortable doing, then you'll just have to live with the new style.
