Help Motorola Engineering in battery compartment?

My Telus Milestone has "Motorola Engineering" embossed inside the battery compartment.

I'm curious if this is standard or not, since I bought the phone from a guy on Craigslist, and don't have any other nearby Milestones I can check out.

Having some serious touch screen issues, and I'd hate to send back an engineering sample for warranty repair.

Haha, I have the same inscription on mine and I suspect it may be an engineering sample - not that I care as long as it works fine

Mine says that too on the black plastic and I know mine not any kind of sample it was bought retail at a Telus dealer

It says the same on mine. It must a declaration that the phone is engineered by motorola.
