Help Motorola needs testers

Yea, I think I'll let others do the taste testing form me....if it was a car, a COD game or even a new accesory I'd sign up. But I'd rather hear about a new update crashing a phone and not experience it.

That was posted at the end of last September. Not sure if there are openings presently, or not. I'm not even sure if there's a current or eminent testing opportunity.

EDIT: Looks like another round of testing IS eminent.

I was trying to find the info on this on the Motorola forums, but couldn't seem to find anything. I saw that the thread was posted at the end of September, but couldn't see confirmation that this is for an update soon to be released.

There's a leaked 198_7 build over at XDA which I've been running for weeks (must be installed with RSD Lite--NO root required). If you install it, make sure all your apps are installed before doing so, and don't wipe your phone. Some of your apps will disappear from the Market after doing so because the ROM fingerprint isn't approved by Google yet. Other than that, the build's been solid.

What are the added features/tweaks of the 198.7 build?

Also,is there a particular update/version of RSD LITE that is best suited for the PHOTON?

Motorola needs Photon 4G testers for a new update that they'll be rolling out. You can read more here:

Photon 4G Testers Needed
Anyone use the test update that has re-rooted their phone afterwards?
I tried the method I used before and it is not working...I used a one click method before and it worked great and then reverted to the stock rom to try the update and I don't think there is any thing great about it and want to root it again. anyone have a working method?

I am a real noob to this stuff but manage to get it done with good directions
ThANKS!
