So it sounds like those of us in the USA are still at stage 1. Not even listed as a Q3 possibility. Glad my Maxx is excellent already.:p

I honestly don't see the functional benefits of ICS. I installed AOKP ICS on my incredible to play around with and it's not much different. Things like resizing widgets and swiping away individual notifications are already built into Motorola's custom UI. I don't really care about face unlocking and camera functions can be had using a 3rd party app. The one thing I do like is the favorite's tray and hardware acceleration for smoother scrolling is nice, but the razr maxx is plenty fast on GB and having creating a custom app drawer solves the favorites's tray.

Honestly, I like the phone the way it is. Would I like ICS? Sure, but I'm not waiting on it.

Exactly what I'm thinking.

agree about every feature EXCEPT ICS voice typing. It was ongoing, and provided word options for the transcriptions it was less confident about. I had a gnex for a couple weeks, and that is the only feature i miss. it was awesome.

I guess this doesn't apply to me because I use the built in Swype and it uses dragon dictation for the voice typing. Swype is now available for ICS but from what I hear, you can't choose the option to use the ICS voice to text instead of dragon. Dragon has been solid for me so I guess I don't know what I'm missing.

IME having a D1 and D2, it seems that you can get a ROM with the newest OS before the official is even rumoring to be out.
I will be looking for ICS roms as my MIUI ICS rom on my D2 is the best I have ever used.

If they are going to start rolling out ICS for everyone but USA why can't they just use the same as the GSM. (I think that is what the razr is outside the USA?)
