Motorola service issues

My 2 year old Droid 2 global won't start up anymore. The start button on top of the phone stopped working. After a lengthy conversation with numerous people at Motorola, I was sent an RMA # and told they could fix it for $108, and return it "within 5 business days". I overnight fedex'd it to texas ($50) on September 16. I got two notices that they hadn't received it. Called and confirmed from fedex records, and Moto says they got it. Called two weeks later for status - told it was mid repair and got sent to "new repair facility" and still in process. Called last week and they could not advise status of repair "can't contact repair facility directly". It has now been 4 weeks and still no phone. Any suggestions from people that have dealt with Moto repair?

if your question is only regarding "suggestions from people that have dealt with Moto repair", then sorry, I have no input regarding this - sounds like terrible service to me...

If you just want a functional droid 2, they sell used in good shape on ebay from $30 buy-it-now.
