Help motorola triumph overcharged?

So recently I went on a vacation and brought my motorola triumph . I forgot my charger so I went to go buy a new one. On my way I saw a goodwill and thought they might have one. So I went in and bought one. I charged it overnight and when i woke up it wouldnt turn on. I knew for a fact that it was charging overnight becausei t was showing the chargin animation. I thinkit may have overcharged and burned out my motorola triumph. I was wondering if virigin mobile will replace my phone for free or if I have to use my insurance(it already has a small crack in it though). All help would be appriated thanks:).

the device normally should stop the charge once you reach 100% to prevent overcharging, it'll still show that its charging but technically the charge shouldnt be making it to the battery anymore, lithium-ion batteries really hate overcharging, so you may have just burned out the battery, i would suggest trying a different battery first

it the phone still wont function you can call VM and tell them exactly what happened, you charged it overnight and it no longer turns on, they will most likely have you do a number of troubleshooting steps like removing the battery and replacing it and such, if its still a no go then they'll probly consider sending you a replacement phone

Mine won't turn on either. I think it might have gotten fried by being overclocked for so long. Not sure though. Good thing I had a replacement on the way already for something else.

Some chargers pull different amounts of Amps than others. Your phone SHOULD be able to regulate what is coming in, but sometimes that can be the problem. It's advisable but not always necessary to use to original charger that came with your device. If the manufacturer finds out you used a "bad" charger and fried your phone.... it may void your warranty.
