Motorola X Pure Not Receiving or Sending All Texts

My fiance has had her Motorola X Pure for about almost a year, (She got it at launch). We both have unlimited data so she paid full price for it. Lately more and more of my texts and hers have not been sending, or MMS photo attachments. I've checked her service and that seems to be fine. She's using Textra which we both love. We don't want to switch to something like Hangouts etc just yet, what can I check to ensure she's getting her texts properly?

I've read maybe flushing the cache from the Android Boot menu.

First step is to Wipe Cache Partition that deletes all temporary data and nothing else. (I do this every Saturdays on my Turbo 2 as part of weekly maintenance.)

If still having a problem ... did she do a major system upgrade after getting the phone? If yes, I recommend a Factory Data Reset. This of course will remove all data, apps, and settings.

Could you be a little bit more specific? Is it only texts and MMS between you and your GF or is it any text or MMS that either you ro your GF send to anyone?

And you say more and more are not sending ... does that mean that some do get sent? Are those not sent always sent from the same location? Same time of day? Always when some other app is running? Any common factor you can think of?
