My new Xoom running ICS 4.04, kernel 2.6.39.4 does not go to sleep when the power button is pushed. The wireless stays on, and the gmail app stays alive, beeping whenever mail arrives. The battery drains -- the Xoom is not asleep, the screen is just off.
Is this a setting issue, or a bug?
