Hello,
I recently rooted my phone, tried to restore it, and now it seems to be bricked.
I used Titanium Backup to get rid of a bunch of applications that I thought would be safe to remove but afterward I could not open text messages, search the internet, take pictures or access ringtones.
I took my phone to the Sprint store and they suggested a factory reset. I started the reset in my car and it came to a load screen prompting me to connect the phone to a computer. By the time I got to my home the battery had died.
After charging it, I turned the phone on and it did the normal loading animations then took me to a blank screen - no wallpaper, no apps button, no dialer button, no contacts button. The only thing I can access is the notification slidedown for USB connection, new voicemails etc. When I choose the Motorola Phone Portal option for my USB connection and plug it in, the driver software begins downloading on my computer but the MTP USB Device fails to install.
I've gone to the Motorola website and downloaded "Motorola USB Driver v.5.7.0 for Windows (32 bit)" but when I go into Device Manager to update the driver software it encounters an error.
I've downloaded Motorola Device Manager and MotoHelper but they seem to be of no use since my phone can't properly connect to my computer.
If anyone has suggestions I'd be happy to hear them - I love my Motorola XPRT and don't want to have to get a new phone!
