Hey guys...im new to this forum and dont know if this issue has already been discussed before....just wanted to know is there any method by which one can mount a non class-4 or class-6 microsd card on an android 2.3 phone?

Welcome to the Android Forums!

You likely can install an older microSD card into an Android 2.3 device but it'll suffer from the performance of the card.
