Help Mounting/unmounting using Froyo/D-Inc USB Connection

Just to confirm, this step is no longer needed on current Android 2.2 and up?

On my old Captivate/2.1 - iSyncr app recommended unmounting SD card before disconnecting USB, to avoid data corruption. The D-Inc/2.2 seems to perform this somehow automatically.

There is no need to unmount the sd card. Just choose 'charge only' from the notification bar and you're good to go. I have even unplugged before doing this and the phone still remounts the card without a problem.

I have unplugged before unmounting and it trashed my SD card. I guess sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you don't.
