Help Mounting usb flash drive

Has anybody been able to get a flash drive to work? I was able to do this on my rooted galaxy note but not on HAM2. Tried a few apps from app store that stated no root needed but had no luck.

I saw a video on youtube (search for "USB OTG does work on Huawei ascend mate 2") where the person talks about the "Nexus Media Importer" app that works, though it costs 3.99. There is also a free version called "Nexus Photo Viewer", you can check if your USB will work using this free app. I tried and was able to view files on my USB.

My issue was printing via USB OTG and now using the Nexus Photo Viewer coupled with Print Hammermill app I am able to print via USB.

Thanks."Nexus Media Importer" works fine. Would like to of git it working for free, but $4 is not too bad.

OTG works fine on my Mate 2 using ES File Explorer app (free).

I use Total Commander and their (paid) usb stick plugin. Works with my USB drives and a 64GB SD Card in a card reader plugged into the USB cable.
They recommend you try the free trial USB plugin first to make sure it works for you, which is considerate.
