Android Question

Like so many before me, my Android phone has run out of space. I jumble what I can/need for play and for work, and some things I just can't physically part with for important reasons. I recently bought an SD card, 32GB, because if I need more storage I'll get more storage! Then I'll move some of my more meaningless apps there! Common sense yes?
I thought so, until I discovered that, for some utter bullshit reason (yes Android, you're bullshit), I do not have ACCESS to this feature! I can move NOTHING to my external disk. I do not use my phone for music, and barely for pictures for very long (I either upload them to my Dropbox or carry them straight into my PC).
So I research the problem. Only fixes? Apps that only direct me to my system settings, which is useless since I already know my settings (this is ALL the apps you'll find recommended. None of them actually DO what they say they're for), or rooting and shit through the command line. This is my utter last resort, and I frankly refuse to go through this.
My old phone, another Android, had this feature that I can't even remember using. But it did use the SD card installed on it. That card has ceased to be usable with age. This new phone (the newer Motorola Razor which isn't even supported by a lot of these app suggestions) doesn't have the option and NOTHING works for it. I have to use this phone for schoolwork, for jobs, for portfolio pieces and I need that space.
What, dare I ask, can I do about this? Is there actually an app that will move my shit to the SD card without requiring bullshit via the command line, rooting (warranty concerns), sending me to the already existing settings, or just plain being bullshit? This is my utter last resort, so please help.
