Help Move apps to USB storage - Any reason not to?

tipoo

Newbie
In manage apps, you have the option to move applications from the system partition (1GB on my Nexus S) onto the confusingly named "USB partition", which is really just the rest of your internal storage. If your system partition is filling up, is there any reason not to do this? I have not experienced a speed difference or anything, but if there's no difference why would they partition it in a visible way at all?

Thanks for the input

Looking through the apps on my handset, I don't think you can move paid apps or apps that require root privileges either.

I've been able to move some paid ones, its pretty hit or miss. Seems mostly up to privileges. So, permissions aside, there's no reason not to move them to the bigger space?

Allot of older phones haven't got the amount of internal storage as the newer better phones out there so you end up running out of space, that's the reason for being able to move the app to the SD,it clears up free space.

The developer still needs to write it in to the app to be able to move it so that's why not all apps will be able to be moved there.;)
