Help Move file to SD card?

Hi all! Can someone please tell me how to either download a zip file straight to my sd card? Or move a zip file from main storage to sd card on a galaxy s7 edge? Because first I have the nougat 7.0 update already. And I'm trying to root my phone? But to root it I have to have the root zip file on my sd card to u zip in recovery mode on my phone? I have no access to computer to root my phone? So I'm trying to do it in a way that a video on YouTube explains? But I need to get the zip file to my sd card? So anyone that can help me? Please get back to me. Thanks!

Hi @Part of the way,

I moved your post into its own thread since it isn't really related to any of the other threads you posted in. ;)

In general, any file manager app should be able to move a file from the internal storage to the phone's SD card. I don't have a Samsung device, though, so I'll let someone with one describe the exact steps.

That said... rooting is rarely a straight-forward process. If you're not able to figure out how to move files around you may want to think twice (or even thrice) before pressing onward. I'd hate to see you run into problems and wind up in over your head. :)

Samsung in all its wisdom did not implement Adoptable Storage in any of the S7 line. The only easy way is with Adoptable Storage. Everything else alas requires /root.
