I cant move pictures from the internal sd to the sd-ext. I have a hidden file on the sd-ext where i want to put pictures that are saved in the internal and im using astro file manager and is keeps saying unable to move. I also cannot access the internal memory so far when i connect the phone to my computer with the usb cable. Any ideas?

I use a free app called QuickPic it is better than the gallery stock app, and it allows you to create folders and move things on the fly, try that and see if it helps.

Try using a root explorer I take it you have rooted the device. Or try ez file manager. I was wondering if you could change the settings somewhere to do it automatically.

Why is motorola so difficult at this issue. With samsung & LG phones that I've had, you can access internal and external sd memory at any time.

For a non-root-ed phone running stock File Manager or ASTRO ...

Working from the PC-side ...

Accessing both cards when connected ... if you can only see the SD-Ext card whrn with the Bionic still connected ... power off then power on the Bionic. If this does not bring up both drives ... with the Bionic still connected hold down the Volume Up/Volume Down/Power keys until a soft reset starts.

Copying a file from the SD Card to the SD-Ext card when connected ... with both drives visible copy the file from one drive to another in the normal manner.

Working from the Bionic-side ...

Accessing both cards when connected ... both cards are not avaiable if you are running in USB Mass Stroage mode ... both cards are available if running in PC mode mode or Windows Media Sync mode.

Accessing both cards when not connected ... both cards are available.

Copying a file from the SD Card to the SD-Ext card when connected ... use Copy/Paste for a file or folder if not in USB Mass Storage mode.

Copying a file from the SD Card to the SD-Ext card when not connected ... use Copy/Paste for a file or folder.
