The playstore is full of apps that move things to sd card. How many of them actually work (without root)? I would love to root this S5 but for now it's unlikely. I just want to move everything I possibly can from phone storage to sd. After all, the S5's got only 16 gb, but it's still better than 8.

Tbh, moving apps to sdcard actually wears them out extremely fast so I wouldn't waste my time and $dcards.. It may just be time to move on to a new device. You too, @arkansawdave74 .. Lol
Plus only parts of the app gets moved to the sd card. It's not like you think it is.

Apps like Link2sd can move everything to SD card if your phone is rooted.
I had AppaMgr on my S5. Never had issues with it. It shows you what apps can be moved and what must stay on internal.
Tip... Don't move an app that you use a widget for.

I've got a uhs-3 64gig in my S5 and you honestly can't tell the difference from the game being internal.
In part because the most important parts (the ART/Dalvik component and the app's internal data) don't move.
Sure, that's a fast card which will help loading times. But it's only part of the app that's on the card, and once it's loaded it's not really using the card any more.
