Moved appointments don't sync

I've noticed that if I move an appointment in my Google calendar on either my Droid X or on my laptop (MacBook), the move doesn't sync to the other. I can enter and delete with no problems; it's just moving an appointment that doesn't work.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

Are you sure it's not working? I just tried several methods to move an appointment and they all showed up. Sometimes I had to force a sync to get it to update, but It would have been there at the next scheduled sync.

I created a new appointment from mt PC. I then opened it on my phone, changed the date and time and then refreshed the calendar on my PC. The appointment moved. I then dragged the appointment on my PC to a new day and refreshed the calendar on the phone. It didn't show up so I sync'ed my gmail account under menu>settings>accounts. After the sync, I went back to my calendar on the phone and now the appointment was there.

If you outline the steps you use to create and move an appointment, maybe we cn figure out why yours isn't working.

Success. After looking at your post, I tried logging out and back in, and the change in a test appointment worked. I then tried refreshing (on the computer), and it also worked. I don't have to do either to add or delete an appointment, so I'm not sure why moving doesn't work the same way, but at least I have a solution.

Thanks!

I do believe that the creation of an appointment pushes the data out to all sync'ed devices, but a change in an existing appointment only queues it for the next sync.

The default periodic sync is 86400 seconds (24 Hours) for most sync providers (Gmail, Contacts, etc.). You can always force the sync to occur using the standard methods… menu>settings>accounts, toggle auto-sync on/off with the Power Control widget, or if you want to sync specific accounts… the free Synker widget is very handy! The unlocked version of Synker will also allow you to override the periodic sync value on a per sync adapter basis.
