Root moved on? to what?

but I'm not sure what to do
...stay with the old m8 as paug or new monthly....but which

what are people moving on too?
m9,s6,nexus...

I'm up in Oct, so hoping something appears to grab my attention before then. With what's currently out there, for me it's:

1 - stick with M8 and go sim only
2= - Go for a Nexus 6P - but need to get a hold of it in my sweaty mitts as on paper it's a bit bigger than the M8 (which is almost perfect size)
2= - Go for a Z5 Compact - but unlock for previous Z3C model seems to break a lot of things, so need to ask myself could I live without tinkering (if i'm honest that's a no )

I see you are in a similar mind to me
..I think that is part of the trouble as there isnt anything out there that I go wow! ...and my m8 is rooted and rom so all tuned to my ways
...
I think stock scares me!
