I'm wondering what movie resolution I should be looking for that would fit the screen well on the Prime.

Depends on where you get it from really. the screen resolution is 1280x800 so 1280x720 (720p videos) have really been successful for me. Keep in mind the Prime can handle 1080p videos but the screen is lower res than that so you don't actually get the benefit of the full HD experience (perhaps someone smarter and more knowledgeable than I can chime in here). regardless you always wanna stick with a widescreen (16x9) resolution.
