Help Movies From Play Store

Getting ready for a long trip. Have downloaded a few movies from Play Store but not enough space to download more. Plenty of space on mini sd card.

Is there a way to transfer the downloaded movies from the tablet to the sd card for later viewing? If so, how? I can seem to find where the movies are when I connect the tablet to my PC.

I think you'll need root to access the location and even then I don't think they're playable from the SD Card (encryption and copy protection).

I'll have a play about on my Nexus 7, see if I can find any of mine.

Google it and you'll find the location. I've tried it, and they don't play from the SD card.
 
You can transfer the films to the SD card but you cannot play them directly from the card. Have a film in the tab2 memory watch that film then transfer it to the SD card for later viewing or delete it! Then pick another film from your SD card and transfer that to the tab2 memory and enjoy! Unfortunately it is the only way to do this without rooting the tab2. It is the limitation of the software! hopefully samsung will write a work around like they have done for the galaxy s4.
 
Thanks for the answer. can i transfer between Tab memory and sd card withing the tablet or do i have to connect to my computer to do this?
 
You can browse the phone/tab internal memory using ES File Explorer, I'm not sure if you need root to do it though.

If you don't need root, navigate to where the movies are stored, long press, move/copy, navigate to the SD Card, then paste.
 
No root needed all you do is go to "my files" browse to where you file is stored and copy and paste between internal memory and SD card simples :-)
