My phone wont play movies in any format. It wont play .avi or .mp4 or even 3GP. I'm using any video converter pro. version. When i make videos from my camera, the videos are in mp4 format. My phone faulty or?
When u say phone recorded movies are u referring it as me turning on my camera and making a recording of 5-10 minutes? If yes, then yes i can play back my recorded videos.
OK, then its might be the encoding or resolution of movies or videos you've placed on the SD card. It is sometimes hard to find the right settings. Ill look into it and get back to you.
I'm away on vacation with very minimal service, but I managed to get a URL but didn't load the site up, try this.
It should show somewhere about the supported file types.
A video (movie) is made up of a video codec and an audio codec, both of these are compressed into a .mp4, .wmv and all those things. So while a .mp4 may be compatable, the codec that its made up of may not be.
Update: Look for an app called "MoboPlayer". I found this in WIRED magazine. It seems to have a lot of other codec plugins, but try it without them first.
That website u offered wasn't any help, as for moboplayer, I d/led that, it wouldn't play avi files, I'll check and see if it plays mp4's. Thank you again.
So i made a video of my cousin's dog getting physical with her bed and emailed to his phone from my phone using gmail. The video was in mp4 format and plays on my phone pefectly, but wouldn't play on his phone at all. Any idea why?
