Errr, what kind of movies?
Via the SD card, you should be able to just open the movie file (mp4??) and play it in your media player.
Hulu is still blocked to my knowledge, but any unblocked flash site, so long as you have flash installed and a supporting browser, you should be fine - even though the phone will get hot.
There are programs to convert videos to mobile format and there are a few formats that should be handled by the D2 (not sure which ones exactly though)

all my movies are mp4. i just dropped them on my sd card and WAMM!! they play!

I have mp4 and avi on my SDcard, they both play just fine.

Handbrake is a free program that will convert almost anything.
just pick the iphone or whatever template as a base (from the right side of the program) then you can change the resolution to 854, and mess with the aspect and crop how you please. then you can save it as a new template called droid or whatever you want and use that from then on.
