Help movies through AirDroid?

Hey everyone, I've been trying to put movies on to my gf's nexus 7 and I tried AirDroid. nd I tried to put the movie into the movies folder but it didn't appear in the Google movies movies&tv app or gallery app. Does anyone know the correct file path so that the movies will work and show up?

Movies is the correct folder. Note that the movies app won't show formats it doesn't understand. I'm not sure what the supported formats are, but h264/mp4 work well for me.

Have you tried putting another Media app on there like Dice Player or MX Video Player? Does that pick them up?

No I have not, and the movie file I was trying was .avi, so possibly just not readable. I will try another mp4 file I have and if not working still I'll try to find another media app. Thanks guys for your advice.
