Help Moving apps from old phone

Haven't seen this particular problem posted; so here goes: Just got a GL from MetroPCS to replace my Droid Razr Maxx from Verizon. My experience with changing phones before tells me that all my current apps will come over to the phone by themselves; but so far, that hasn't happened. Anyone know if I'm stuck downloading all my apps again, or if there's some magic switch somewhere I can flip to make this happen? Thanks.

It's pretty easy if you root both devices and use Titanium Backup (or other app), save the backups to an SD card, swap the card to the new phone, then restore them all.

Otherwise, you are going to have to download all your apps one way or another. Within your Google account, you can backup your data (supposedly - I've never done it this way so I don't know how well it works) then restore it, but you'll still have to download all your apps on the new phone.
