Moving apps to SD card

prcpani

Lurker
My phone memory is 1GB and my SD card is 8GB.

I find hard to move apps to sd card. when I try adb remount (or) adb shell reboot etc... it says "operation not permitted"

When I try using apps2sd , move2sd apps .... apps cannot be moved - i get only "move to phone storage" button and not "move to sd card" button in the manage apps system menu.

Iam attaching my phone info screenshot. please help me resolve

First, you probably have only 1GB of ram, not only 1GB of phone memory. Which gets to the second point--it would be a good idea to mention what phone you have.

But in general, I don't believe most modern versions of Android allow you to move apps, but some manufacturers (e.g. Samsung) have once again provided that functionality.

The screen-cap he attached shows he has a Celkon A107+. A little googling shows this is an Indian-market phone. Specs show 4GB of internal memory but that may not all be user-accessible, it isn't made clear.
Assuming this phone with 4.2.2 does not support moving apps to SD natively, the only way to do so would be to root the phone and use Link2SD. There is no dedicated forum section here for Celkon but there may be info on XDA.
