my current brick is a sony w810i on vodafone. ive just purchased a galaxy s2 on t mobile. ive given pac code to t mobile who say my old sim will be wiped when i port sometime today. i need my contacts transfering. i have tried moving them to my phone explorer which worked, but when i connect s2 via usb its says not found. is there a simpler way or is my sony too old?

My phoneexplorer should work with the S2. Maybe you should just install the drivers if it did not automatically install when you plugged in the S2. If your phone came with a CD, the Samsung Kies program in there comes with the S2 drivers.

done. did via bluetooth. thought it would take forever, but only took about 2 mins. tried kies but couldnt figure it out. thx anyway.
ps how do i close thread?

Sony Ericsson phone compatible with "MyPhoneExplorer", using that application you can import and Sync contacts with Any Android phone. However you need Windows computer for this process. First connect your old Sony phone and import contacts, calendar, note etc and backup them in your PC then export them to your new Android phone.

I have a Sony Ericsson K810i .
The Backup "contacts to M.S" option backs up contacts in system folder .
the name is like PB_backup.vcf .
You can import the contacts by copying the .vcf file from Memory Stick to SD card of your Android and just clicking the .vcf file and Import to phone (or google account )
