Help Moving text "shimmering"?

Hi all. New Droid X owner. Having a weird, minor issue that I keep noticing. When I scroll objects on my phone, the text flickers a lot. It's very noticeable scrolling the settings and the application drawer.

I even played this game called Elements which contains a lot of small moving pixels and they too shimmer, or flicker, quite a bit.

I'm I the only one noticing this? Does any one else? I notice things like this on some LCD TV screen and it drives me mental.

Most LCDs will do this unless it's higher end with very fast refresh rate, like you would find on a good LCD TV. I think it's usually called "smearing". I also notice it on my DX, but it also happens on my Playstation Portable.

I hear ya. I had a Droid INC and there was no issue there, but for whatever reason the text flickering just jumps out of me like crazy with the DX. Something I have to deal with I guess. I thought it was just my eyes.

The X and the Droid 2 and D2 Global do this. It's most evident in the settings menus. White text on black background makes it works.

Exactly. Also happens in my contacts. I also have this game called Elements which has a lot of pixels moving around and it seems to me like they are flashing in my face, so it's wildly distracting.

My last LCD TV was horrible too. Thankfully my new one isn't as bad.

I just looked at a co-workers Droid Original and it didn't have the issue there. Unfortunately it drives me crazy enough where I'm going to return it and hold out for the HTC Thunderbolt.

Oh well. It was a great phone otherwise. And I have no doubts this issue is all in my head. :)
