Moving to the LG Volt

Just got off the line with virgin mobile. My Tribute has had a hardware issue since the day I bought it (earpiece speaker damaged. have to always place or get calls in speaker mode.) Talked them in to finally replacing it. They have decided to send me an emtire LG Volt kit in replacement of the damaged Tribute. The Volt due to how long it has taken to finally resolve the issue for me. Looking forward to the move to be honest. The Tribute isnt really going any where development wise. The Volt however already has a lot going on. With a number of people from my Optimus Elite days.

You going to still finish the new Xperia rom?

I'm still going to be using the Tribute (got no choice my wife's has one plus mine), but I'll be switching over to a HTC 816 (~$140) shortly - and there's decent development on the subforum too.

Updating my java and a few other things to hopefully remedy decompile errors i keep having trying to decompile LGSystemUI and a few others. Adding the lg framework sources doesnt seem to make any difference so maybe updating java and my apktool set will. If I cant figure it out by tomorrow then it will have to wait or someone else give it a go. Because I wont have the device to test on. Virgin shipped over night and not three day.

10-4.

Cool on the turn around from Virgin.

Are you any good with update-scripts? Or better yet how do you make yours for the ROMs? Is it a Windows .exe/.bat/?? ? I'm having a updater-binary error during flash in TWRP, which fails.

No not an updater script error on my end getting multiple lines of decompiling errors using apktool to decompile system apks even when using franework-res and the lg res. As for the script error I was having in the rom it relates to making a simple data/apps folder and installing apps to it upon install of rom. I think its twrp personally because it gives an error message each time you wipe and do a reinstall unless you install root binary then reboot twrp first.

No, I meant I was having the script error in TWRP. Was wondering if you knew how to do or where to look? If interested in looking, the file size is 1.1kb.
File ext and named changed to upload.

The error I'm getting.

----------------------
Do you have the Java updated? There are quite a few threads on XDA for decompiling, referencing that as a cause of error.

Now I cant say your script is correct but I do know from my own experience with stock rom and recovery for this device, any script additions I tried to add and execute that should work fine....dont. They fail with that same message. Youll even get that message just doing a complete wipe and then reinstall of stock rom if you do not reboot recovery and allow recovery to install root binary upon reboot.
