Help Moving zip file to sd card

OK, I can not move a zip file to sd card. it just keeps "calculating".
I can access sd card, I can open pictures or any folder on it.
I just moved - fine - pdf to it, and it worked. trying to move exlipse zip file - no go. I had this going on for a while, but let it go. Now I am seriously ticked.

USB debugging is turned on. if I have it turned off, PC will not recognize sd card as storage. storage enabled on phone.

Ideas?

Error 0x80070079: The semaphore timeout period has expired

that's message I got, after I let it run for about 15 minutes.

ok, got it fixed. used wife's phone cable and hooked up to different USB port.
that's it.
running eclipse. phone DEFINITELY is faster.
