Help Mssg: Couldn't sign in

I keep getting this mssg on my Android 5.1 Moto G. It says Problem with account setup. User name or password is incorrect. Edit Details. Server android.imap.mail.yahoo.com. Port 993 Security Type SSL/TLS

It's saying that there is a problem with your Yahoo email password. Have you changed it recently, e.g. after that massive hack that Yahoo suffered recently? If not you probably should.

I don't think I have a Yahoo P'wrd. When signing in I'm prompted for my User Name (which is already entered for me), but then on the next screen is the mssg, "Are you signing in as sl..... from Chrome.." I've the options of Yes or No. I hit Yes & that logs me in.

Following that Yahoo probably done a mandatory password change for all users. And so might have to verify and change it on the website, rather than in their whatever apps and/or email clients.

Actually, what I'd done was to enable something newish called Account Key, which allows me to log in without having to enter a Password. I have a P'wrd but with this new thing called Account Key that Yahoo is pushing I didn't have to enter it.
But when I get these persistent mssgs alerting me with the words "Couldn't sign in" & I then enter this new P'wrd I then get the mssg "Problem with account setup. Username or password is incorrect. Edit Details." I've tried deleting the ..yahoo.com from the User Name since my actual User Name on Yahoo doesn't include it, but to no avail.
