Help MTP connected??

I just went an exchanged my phone because my other one keep dropping signal constantly for no reason. This one is better about that, however, I just plugged the phone into the wall charger that came with it and it keeps saying MTP connected?? My other one did not do this. It seems like its taking a very long time to charge as well.

Any ideas why this is happening?

Do you have another micro usb charger you can test out?

PLugging your device into a wall charger should not cause it to say MTP connected.
Could be a problem with the charger, cable or port on your phone.
Testing with a different charger will help determine which may be bad.
