MTP Connected?

When i plug in my cable to my At&t Samsung Galaxy Note the USB says MTP Connected, why is my computer not recognizing the usb storage so i can transfer things from computer to my phone?
 
Because Android no longer uses "USB Storage", it now uses MTP (media device) or PTP (camera device).
