.....EB Beta stage Recovery.....​

I have fully ported ClockworkMod recovery now to the behold 2, the reason why it's in beta stage is currently Nandroid is still broken.

~ Beta stage
~ Currently only thing not working is Nandroid restore.. ( Working on a fix )
~ Download includes everything one needs to Odin / .ops + recovery and USB drivers


How-to install..
~ Reboot you Phone into download Mode
~ .ops goes into the OPS tab
~ BH_rec8.tar goes into PDA
~ ignore any errors that might popup & select start..
~ All Done :D

Hey Eugene, do you think you could get with cyanogen and maybe ship that phone to them to see fit they could get 2.1 working?
 
So, we are going to rebuild the binary tonight, so if all goes well we will have a permanent recovery of CwM for the Behold 2

It's not going to happen!! We don't have a Complete source of the kernel which is needed... the kernel is why I can't finish it. On top of that, Samsung never even posted parts of the driver source for the build ( not Kernel ) like they did for the vibrant, which is how we got most of the stuff working for it to start with.. All they posted was a jacked up Kernel that is missing so much, we can't build it due to the proprietary drivers that samsung has license to, and even asking for it is a joke.. They did however learn there lesson & didn't make this mistake with the vibrant

Maybe try again since they release the vibrant details...*shrug*

Eugene, you definitely will be gettin' donation after this hectic holiday season is over. :D

I just don't see why Samsung won't release the source code for this since they're barely selling this phone anymore... oh well.
 
Wow ive always wanted clockwork mod to work!
I just have one question......
Will we be able to use other function s that rom manager has? Or are there still some stuff that wont work?

And also is there a special key sequence that we will have to do to get into the CwM recovery?
 
Sorry I've not made Updates to Posts or Rom's. Top of things to do, is releasing the recovery for the Behold 2 After Xmas. ~Happy Holidays

Regarding putting the recovery onto the Phone, you will need to ODIN, after which you can forever rid yourself of ODIN :D

Working so far..
~ Formatting Data / Cache / System
~ Most Feature work fine
~ Nandroid is 89% working, still a few issue's to fix in the Source
~ Flashing a Full Rom is 100% working

The Release will be Beta, and will be Posted likely Sunday for everyone to play with that has Behold 2 as well...

sorry for this question.. i know im being a noob but what does this recovery thing do? :D does this has to do with regarding rom changing?

You no longer need to ODIN Rom's to the Phone :D You can also make Backups from the recovery as well & restore them :D
