Root Much Needed Love for Recovery

ok.. when i read some replies.. Rom still aint up.. But when you change roms ex: galaxy r12 to take5. do you still need to go back to 1.5 stock? or you could change directly..? and when you change rom how do you prevent your apps for deleting ( im thinking this recovery that BH_man is working on might do the trick. does it? :D)

~thanks

Unfortunately new rom all apps need to be reloaded. I use Titanium Backup makes it easier to reinstall apps. I have never gone back to stock between rom changes. Not sure if there are reason this would make sense. I've never done it and as yet, I have not had problems.

You Can't!!

yes swapping Rom's will no longer need to use ODIN

Recovery Updates Coming along with Custom Boot.img ( see twitter ) Plus the Cookie cutter Rom..

The permission are weird on flashing a new Rom so I made a repair file that fixes everything after flashing ( this is what took so long )..

Look for updates soon..

From Eugene:

Cookie cutter Rom's are now Done for both RFS & EXt2

2 Recovery done.
RFS version does not have Nandroid restore or back-up working

EXT2 Version does have Nandroid fully working

2 Kernels done
RFS & EXT2 Versions

All above Supports A2SD & init.d startup scripts

I'll be uploading tonight once the Wife gets home from work :D
Until then,
~Eugene

ext2 version installed. Running restore now...seems to have some lag though =(

it's due to the cache being on the sdcard.. I'm going to edit the script to just only let app's be moved.

But I have the same setup, and I don't have any laf currently.

Is there anything I can do to move the cache or correct the lag issue?

remove the a2sd script in the /system/etc/init.d folder then do a factory reset.

Keep in mind there is nothing optimized about these Rom's currently..
It's only to provide a base for people to work off of from here on.

How do you move apps to sd? I show the memory available. Downloaded an apps from xda but it says wrong Rom or sd card not formatted.

XDA apps are not sometimes optimized to work on phones like the behold 2 sadly =(maybe thats the problem......
