Help Multi-Media messages between apple and android?

I am unable to send and receive mms messages from my friends iPhone. Is there any way to fix this?

My roommate has an iPhone and I have an android and he had to change a setting on his iPhone so I can get his text.

Make sure their settings are set allow group MMS, it's them not you. Also, try a different app if you are using the stock one. Textra, Chomp and Hangouts work well.

iMessage, green text bubbles are good, blue is bad and only goes to other iMessage users.
