Multi-Window little tab gone once closed :(

Hi,

A little issue I'm not sure is even solvable,

After upgrading from 4.2 to 4.4.2 the Multi-window bar on the side is still available when long pressing the menu button but the little tab when the bar is closed is gone (see screenshot of old, desirable state where the tab is present).

Is there any way of bringing it back?

When on the home screen the multi-window is shown for me when I put my finger on the right hand edge of the screen and slide it towards the middle. My device is also on 4.4.2.

My pleasure. My son tells me one can actually choose what apps appear in the multi-window but I have not got the hang of that one yet.
