Root Multicolor Trackball?

IIRC, there was some speculation that once Eris was rooted, we'd know if the trackball supported multicolor. I haven't seen anything further on this and was wondering if anything had been dscovered?
 
Maybe I should do a change your LED color and void your hardware warranty how to. Then again, someone would screw up and blame me for a brick or non working LED or broken <insert something>.

Well if we are rooted our warranty is already voided :-) tho you could unroot to get the warranty back. Are you saying there is a seal somewhere that would show you messed with the hardware? Something that couldn't be put back to normal.

but yea there is a void sticker over one over the bottom right screw under the battery cover :)

I'm not a real DEV! Just a netadmin.
I only started tinkering with the eris to get rid of amazonmp3.

My welding skill lack, but I am mean with WIELDING my soldering iron.
I promise, if I can find the time, and the right LED, I will change the led out on my phone. Will it work? WHO KNOWS! Might just make a brick.
