Multiple app questions-tasker/launcher pro

I recently got a mytouch4g and have taken the opportunity to make the most of it. I love technology and the incredible abilities of the android apps but a few things have me a bit stumped.

1. I have an lost/stolen phone profile set up in Tasker but what I'd really like to do is get it to email me the gps location instead of or in addition to texting the number. Since i frequently lose my phone and there's rarely a phone around, the texting back doesn't do me much good since there's no way to get the location if i use twitter or something to text the keyword.

2. I'd like to be able to do something like the Note to Self feature of voice search but using VLingo and either a note program or if nothing else works, texting myself. My current note pad isn't working since it's just a widget (scratchpad basic) and having to change the input every time i open it defeats the purpose of the extreme simplicity of the widget. Texting myself isn't ideal since i have to verify the target of the sms and then physically send it as well.

3. Launcher Pro or possibly something else seems to be causing some widgets to disappear. I can no longer find audible, gtasks or the agenda widget. One of the calendar widgets shows up but not the pink icon one which is the one I want on the screen. The audible one was working but I can't find it in the list anymore. Is there a way to fix this?

4. Is there a way to prevent the phone from locking? I've tried using the autolock toggle with extended widgets but it's not working. A widget for this would be preferable since there's no particularly time i want to prevent locking.

5. Is there any kind of cheat sheet on what variables work in Tasker? Right now I just have one profile that needs a profile (based on the day being a weekday) but in the future I know I'll be wanting more especially if tasker works well as an alternative to timeriffic.

6. Is there a list of plugins that work with tasker and what they do? I've checked the site but may have overlooked something.

7. What do I need to do to get tasker to turn on speaker phone if I set the phone face up? The stock option does it if it's face down but I want the opposite. I found the orientation context but I'm not sure what else to do with it.

Thanks so much for anything you can help with!

4. I don't use No Lock but it seems to be popular. Noted by gmermel above.

5. There is a section on variables in the tasker user guide. It is accessbile from within the Tasker program itself, or here: Tasker: Variables

6. Not that I know of, unless there is something in the Tasker forum about this. I know Tasker supports most plugins that are written for locale, so you could search for those. Something particular you want?

7. You found the context already. The speakerphone action can be found under Audio when you add new tasks.

Gmermel, I got no lock and it works perfectly. It did finally occur to me to look for a screen delay option and have a widget for that now as well. Not sure which I'll stick with but it's good to have the option.

Amlothi, thanks for the links. I found the first one this afternoon when I did some more googling and my profile is now working perfectly. There's no particular plugin that I was looking for right now but there have been at least 2 dozen things I wanted to look into for tasker and forgot before I could record. I was hoping that a list might jog my memory or inform me of things I never even thought about. I'll keep googling to try to get my own list.

I did find speakerphone in tasks but that's still not working. I have it as Context-orientation (face up) Task-speakerphone on but when my husband called me and I set the phone down nothing happened. Am I missing something?

I haven't tried it myself, so I'm not sure. Are you making sure to set Speakerphone to ON?

There are some links here that might help you:

Profile to activate speakerphone during a call - Tasker | Google Groups

automatic speakerphone -- is this the best way? - Tasker | Google Groups

I can't actually go to that site (google groups are blocked where I am) otherwise I'd just post the answer for you :)
