Root Multiple delivery of SMS on cm10.1 nightly 20130423

Anyone else running the 20130423 nightly getting the same SMS multiple times? (Upwards of 5 times for some messages)

Going to try flashing the last version I have prior to the 23rd and see if it keeps happening.

I think you are just experiencing a side effect of running a nightly. Sometimes things are broken. If I was on CM I could maybe offer more but this is the best I can come up with.

Hopefully this goes away once you've restored a previously working nightly. Best of luck good sir.

It seems to have stopped. Not sure if it was a tmobile issue or cm issue.

hi yes im runnin cm 10.1-4-23 ...runnin just fine sms.and everything about the nitely seems fine..oh im on net10 with att sim if that helps.

I get the same problem with TMN (Portugal) on ZTE Libra, with cm-10.1-20130419-KonstaKANG-blade.zip . From what I could see, the problem occurs when I leave an SMS unopened (e.g., discarding the notification, or even if I reply to it from the quick reply dialog). Could it be that, in these cases, the success of the SMS's delivery is not being communicated to the operator and, thus, the operator retries after a while? Virtually every time I get these repeated SMSs, the first repetition is exactly 5 minutes after receiving the SMS the first time.

Do either of you own a Nexus 4? If so, are you experiencing this issue described in the OP?

I do not own a Nexus 4. Although this is a Nexus 4-specific subforum, I thought it would be useful (for both "sides") posting, since this hints that the issue may not be device-specific nor operator-specific, but rather endemic to CM 10.1.

I suspect it has something to do with how CM 10.1 acknowledges the reception of SMS messages when they are either not opened or replied from the notification (those are the situations in which I get repeated delivery).
