multiple desktop buttons for multiple gmail accounts

i have several gmail accounts and I would like to have a desktop button for each one. is there a way to do this?

currently there is one button for gmail and once i open it i can select the account i want to see

There are a few choices....

GMAIL Label Notifier
GMAIL Unread Counter
SMS Unread counter
etc..

All those apps allow you to create icons on the desktop that will jump you to an account. Some will even allow you to jump directly to a LABEL in an account. Also, they will give you the ability to visually see how many unread items you have.

I am currently using Gmail Label Notifier and really like it. It is a paid app, but very cheap and worth it. Gmail Unread Counter is free and also very good.

You can also long press on you homescreen, select shortcut and then Gmail label to pick which inbox you want to open.

gmail unread counter for me.

Set

gmail 1 - green - notification tone = THX sound
gmail 2 - red - notification tone = Intel Jingle
gmail 3 - blue - notification tone = "you've got mail"

I have the widgets set up, color coordinated for my needs, and sound specific. Works great.
