Help multiple email notifications from 1 sender

getting multiple notifications for the SAME incoming email from the same sender... I will get pinged once when it arrives initially...

And over the course of the next 48-72 hours get more notifications for that email.. sometimes it's 2 or 5 times... usually it's 3.

No extra mail apps installed... and if it WERE the mail apps doing it, it would happen with other senders... so there must be something with this one person and their apps they use.

I just don't know what could be causing it on their end so I can get them to fix it.

Anyone have an idea what's going on?

I've had it happen twice in the last couple of days, from a couple of senders, not the rest. No idea why, though. Could be a glitch in the Gmail server. I tend to not worry about things like that - it's too easy to just delete the dupes.
