Help multiple mesmerize questions

Hey Everyone

I just got the new samsung mesmerize and although its my first smartphone ever, i now understand how much iv been missing out haha, i cant put it down. but i have several questions that iv just been wondering seeing as how this is my first phone with a data plan...

firstly after messing around with all the internet capabilities i looked at my task manager and found the tab that says "summary" shows all the memory and storage. i was wondering what "personal data" is and what it stores, because it seems to go up whenever i use the internet, and iv had this phone for almost 2 days and i have 10.77MB out of 105, i feel like i used a lot already, and what may happen if i max out all the MB?

also about the data plan, i think i have 5GB of data, to be honest i have no clue what that means, i doubt ill use the internet excessively so will i be able to go a month without going over? , iv read you accumulate data while using the internet, but what exactly all uses up data, like right now im listening to pandora radio, how often can i use that without going over? and just like how much data does internet use approximately, and anyway to check it?

i thank you so much for listening to my questions. this phone is really insane

P.s. you guys know any awesome apps that are worth checking out? Thanks!

Some apps like Pandora use more data because you are streaming music. The market has apps that show how much data you are using on your phone. Try using wifi to keep your plan data use down to a lower level. Apps: backgrounds, Dolphin Hd Browser, Angry Birds, Weather channel App,Android Central App,Twidroyd(twitter app),Barcode Reader.

If you use your WiFi connection whenever you are at home (assuming you have it at home) and mostly browse the web, you more than likely won't bump into the limits on your data plan.

I have a co-worker that streams Pandora all day long, every day, through his phone, and has yet to go over on his cap.

If you stream a lot of video (2-3 hours a day, every day), download movie files or other large data files, then yes, you will run into the possibility of hitting your cap.

I use mine to browse multiple times a day. I stream music periodically, watch youtube stuff 2-3 times a day, and use the wireless modem 3-4 times per week. I use the GPS navigation with google earth overlay at least 3-4 times per week. Haven't hit the caps yet.

If you are really concerned with how much data you are using i would recommend downloading 3gwatchdog from the android marketplace. It's free, and you can set whta your quota is for each month, then it tells you how much data you have used for that day, week, and month, then tells you how close you are to your quota.

yea i got the 3g watchdog and i guess i really dont need to worry too much about how much data i use haha i dont think ill ever surpass the 5gig limit i have.

the only thing now that is somewhat annoying is the battery life, iv had this phone for about 2 weeks now, and it drains pretty quickly, i have made sure that no applications are running when i dont need them and nothing automatically feeds data, but does the battery really get better with time?

I havent heard anything about the phone getting better battery life with time, but that doesnt mean its not the case. When I check my battery usage in my settings, it usually is the display of the phone that uses the most. I dont know what your settings are, but i have my brightness to automatic, then i have my screen off set for like fifteen seconds or something really short like that. It helps a lot for me anyway, as I easily get a day out of my phone and i'm on the internet quite frequently with my phone.
