Help Music and SD card transfers

Well, I looked through the suggested threads and still didn't find my answer. So here goes: Can anyone explain in steps how to make sure I transfer my music et al from my 16gb sd card to my 32 gb sd card? I sure would love to make this "pain free".

The way I did it was to put the 32gb card in my phone then put the 16gb in my laptop card reader. Connected my phone, choose the mass storage (hard disk) option for connection type. Then opened the 16gb card copied my music folder(s) then opened the 32gb card and paste (drag and drop also works if you have both opened at the same time).
