Music app head's up

I just wanted to help those who might have this problem, since I figured out what to do to fix it, I want others to know too.

I've been using "Google Play Music" as my mp3 app for months now, but after ICS, most of my music didn't show up. I knew it couldn't have been deleted, so I figured I'd pick out another app to use as a replacement.

While we all like different things, I picked one I had used before, WinAmp. It works great! Seems very user friendly like I remember.

It would be my recommendation, but it depends on what you want and need.

My point is, don't freak out if your music doesn't show up. It's probably still there. Just pick another app out to use, try out a few if you want!

It should take care of that issue, if you're having it.

I had the same problem, I went with the Android music player. Also When I got the update it erased all the songs that I got from the V--Cast music app, which was more my fault I forgot to put them onto the sd card.

I have winamp pro, but mainily use that to stream a Los Angeles radio station lol. I used Google Music mainly to play music. After the ICS update my music still showed up in Google Music but everything was combined and just random. It was still fine in Winamp so I knew it was still there. My fix was just to delete the music and put it back on the phone which worked like a charm.

I have a few questions on the Moto MyMusic Ap... which was just fine for me on GB, but now I'm thinking I may have to make a switch.

1. Almost none of the Artist/Album Art has downloaded, 3 days later... this is puzzeling even for many albums that I ripped direct, and therefore should have the art imbedded. Just seems wierd that about 5% of the files have downloaded, but the rest just aren't...
2. I just bought an album from the AmazonMP3 store, through the MyMusic widget. Is there a way to manage where the files download to? (SD card vs. Downloads on Phone?)
3. With the file I just purchased, it included a Digital Booklet... which is also showing up as a 2nd album in the music player...

I use Rocket Player since I use iSyncr to sync all my music, but I do use the Moto music player and Google music player too.

I had the same issue after the ICS update with Google music. All my music was there, but was screwed up. For instance, I have 4 Black Eyed Peas albums and it was only showing one album and when you clicked on the album there is no artwork and it had every song from every other album listed in there.

I went into Manage Apps and cleared the data and now it is perfect!

Wat my music player has done since the ics update is has takin a pic from my gallery and is using that pic 4 every songs art,and i CAN NOT figure out how to change it?

I just read on another forum to do the fallowing and it worked like a charm . I was having the problem of all my music was all messed up, and songs were missing. I did this and everything came back.

go in to manage apps

go to all

media storage force stop, and then clear data, you will not lose anything it just stops it

reboot phone wait 15 minutes and all songs should be as they were with GB.

After I did this my photos and music were all back to normal.
