Help "Music" App: Incorrect Track Order

JFS1234

Lurker
I use the default Music app. on my Galaxy s5 Active. For the most part it works fine, but I have noticed that some albums have tracks that are in the wrong order, although the track #'s that are embedded within those individual files are correct (e.g., track 1 in the app. is actually track 13 on the album).

Example: Before adding music to my SDmicro card for use with my Galaxy s5, I make sure that all the information per track/album is correct (i.e., genre, artist, track #, etc.). I am very meticulous about this process.
Recently I added two bonus tracks to a 12 track album that were already added to my SDmicro card months ago. These bonus tracks were track 13 and 14, yet they are at track position 1 and 2 within the default Music app. on my Galaxy s5. When I check the "Details" of the individual track within the app., it says "track 13" though it is at position 1. This is quite frustrating. Also, the track #'s are all correct (1-14) on my external hard-drive, so the issue is only observed in this default app.

It seems as though this issue occurs when I add files to a music folder in my external hard-drive that originated from a different source than the rest of the files within that album's folder, regardless of all the information being the same (accept obviously the track #).

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Are there ways to resolve this?

** Also, there's times where I change the genre of a track(s) on my external hard-drive, yet the default Music app. sets the genre as something other than what the file was embedded with. Can this be explained?
