Help Music App?

I've been switching back and forth between the two pre-loaded apps: Music and Play.

Play sometimes takes a long time to load the artists / albums, so its hard to switch when an album ends (especially when driving). Not to mention, it seems to just start over at the beginning of an album again after the last song, rather than moving on to the next album.

Music seems a bit faster, and I think (not sure - I have to double check) it goes to the next album when one ends. However, it often loses track of where I am in the song. For example, I'll be halfway through a 15 minute Phish jam on a drive somewhere, get back in my car a couple hours later, and the song starts over!

Is there an app that remembers where you left off in a song, moves onto the next album when you finish the current album, and is a bit faster than Play? I'll mostly be using my phone to play music through my car's bluetooth from a 128gb MicroSD (Samsung EVO if that matters).

I had DoubleTwist a while back and it seems its still popular - I might go back to that.

Sorry I missed that part lol my phone doesn't support an SD card so I'm not sure of any apps that are good for that! Hopefully someone will come along that can help!

Yeah, that's why I got the GS5. Streaming really wouldn't work for me because the stuff I listen to most often is not pop, so Spotify or Pandora isn't ideal. I could stream my music from the cloud using Play, but I live in a really hilly area and when my girlfriend streams from her iPhone, it cuts in and out constantly.

I can definitely understand that! I don't listen to the radios on Spotify I go thru and make playlists from the songs I do like and listen that way! Cutting out when listening to music is never fun!

Try Rocket player, I found it to be a very dependable player. I often stream music myself though, but only at home as I don't have an unlimited data plan.
