I tried running the ported HTC music app from xda yesterday on my BB v4 and got FC's. I'd love to have this on my phone since it plays genre's. Anybody have any success with this or have an updated verison ready for froyo?

Also, is there a way to get the CyanogenMod volume up/down music controls when the screen is off onto BB v4? It's really the only thing that i miss. I don't know the "rules" of ROM's sharing, etc. certain scripts or whatever, so if this is off limits I apologize.

Not sure but that sounds like all kinds of awesome... Have you asked over on xda if anyone has been able to make it work on 2.2?

As for the volume up/down music controls, I don't think we will see that anytime soon outside of CyanogenMod (or another "from source" built ROM)... It actually has to be coded into the OS, and since BB and most ROMs are not created from source it won't be possible.

I read through a thread last night where I also downloaded the .apk but it was for 2.1 I've lost the thread location, though. Tried google searching for 2.2 htc music port and no luck. Don't really want to open another forum account just for xda, just so I can search the forum.
