Music Cluster****

NOOBSDAY

Lurker
Ok so I connected my G2 up to my PS3 the other night trying to add my music to my phone. So when I finished, I opened my default music app. And only some of my music is showing up. Frustrated, I delete and re copy the music hoping it will work. Nothing changed. So I download a file manager. I find that the music is indeed on my phone where its supposed to be. On my SD card under Music. But its just not showing up lol. The only way to play it is by opening it through the file manager. Can someone please help me get this working right? Thank you.

What kind of music is it? Mp3? Was it from itunes? Will the songs that dont show up play directly from the files mananger? Have you tried transferring music from a computer and not a ps3? Have you tried a new card?

I imported the music from the original disc to my PS3. Yes they play directly from the file manager. I don't have a pc so the playstation is my only way of copying music files. And no, this card is the only one I have. All I have on it is angry birds...the other 7 some GB are still available.

try an app called sdrescan in the market. it just quickly scans the sd card for newly added media and updates the picture, video, and music libraries on the phone.

WTF is PS3 converting your music to .3gp for........

I would look into the PS3 settings and see if you can change the way the PS3 took your music off of your original CD. I'm guessing it should be able to convert to .mp3 (like everything else in the freakin world)

My thoughts exactly lol. But I'll try that audacity app and look into my ps3 settings.

Well I tried it again. My ps3 music settings were off so I did in fact change it to mpeg3 and then copied it over to my phone. Pretty much same outcome as the other attempts..but more music did show up just not everything.

Well....I don't own a PS3 so I can't really help you in that area. I don't think many have experience transferring music from their PS3 to their phone directly (since most just use their PC)

My only solution left-
Just go find whatever Album/Music you want on the internet and download it with your phone. Ask if you aren't sure what are good sources to find music. My bet is that whatever music you are trying to get from your PS3 is also available for download free if you are a savvy searcher.
